A sit-up? Yes, indeed. But not just any sit-up. A yoga sit-up.
Cue Mo Rocca: “Little did I know I had walked into a firestorm of controversy. Should I sit up slowly or quickly? When should I exhale? Should I keep my back straight? Should I touch my forehead to my knees—assuming I was even capable of such a thing? Is it possible the man they call Bikram is teaching a sit-up that could endanger the well-being of his students?!?”
Okay—it’s not a firestorm of controversy. It’s a half-dozen people on the Hot Yoga Doctor forum, a page I stumbled across while looking for a picture of the sit-up. And it's an excuse to a) make a Mo Rocca reference and b) post a vintage R.E.M. live clip. Enjoy.
